TunnelOFF

Privacy Policy

Effective date: [DATE]

1. Who is responsible

Sebastian Jaskolka Softwareentwicklung, Sebastian Bernhard Jaskolka, Gontardplatz 7, 68163 Mannheim, Germany. Email: support@tunneloff.com.

2. Scope

This policy covers the TunnelOFF browser extension (available for Chrome, Edge and Firefox) and this website.

3. The extension

TunnelOFF runs entirely inside your browser. It reads the structure of the page you are looking at to draw the focus overlay and to compute the Noise Score. That happens on your device and nothing leaves it.

The extension stores the following in your browser's local extension storage, never synced, and deletes it when you uninstall:

Our use of information received from browser APIs and web pages adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. The optional “Always on for every website” permission

By default the extension only runs on a page when you activate it. If you switch on “Always on for every website”, your browser asks you to grant access to all websites. That access is used solely to run the same local overlay automatically. It is requested only when you turn the option on, and you can revoke it at any time in your browser's extension settings.

5. Your controls

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are covered by [LAWYER: EU-US Data Privacy Framework / standard contractual clauses per Vercel's current DPA].

The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, no third-party fonts and no embeds. The demo video is served from this site.

If you email us, we process what you send us to answer you. We keep the correspondence for [RETENTION].

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. You can complain to a supervisory authority: in Germany [COMPETENT_LANDESDATENSCHUTZBEHÖRDE]; in the UK the ICO; in Canada the Office of the Privacy Commissioner; in Australia the OAIC. In practice there is nothing to access or erase, because the extension does not collect personal data.
